We start the tour by visiting the Main Square whose name is because of the governor Benjamin Muñoz Gamero. In the middle of the Square we´ll find a Ferdinand of Magellan Bronce Statue. Next we go to Cerro de la Cruz where we can enjoy a wonderful sight of the city and the Magellan Strait.
Then we will visit the Salesian Museum Maggiorino Borgatello that has a complete exposition about the history of the Region and the ethnic groups that lived in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
After that, we’ll visit the cemetery (ranked the 6th most beautiful in the world). This place is full of history and you´ll enjoy the beauty of its imponent cypresses. Right next to the cemetery we´ll see the Ovejero Monument, obligatory spot to take pictures.
We´ll finally go to Costarnera where we can enjoy the large splendor of the Magellan’s Strait and Goleta Ancud Monument, vessel that took the first people to take possession of the Strait on behalf of the chilean government.
We finish the tour about 01.00 pm.
